The South-Western City school board on Oct. 11 gave the go-ahead to district officials to apply for qualified school construction bonds from the Ohio School Facilities Commission for a proposed $6.6-million energy-savings project in the district.
The Monforton Quality School Construction Bond has passed with 65 percent of people voting in favor and 35 percent voting against, according to Monforton School Principal Lynne Scalia.
