KBE Building Corporation named Jim Culkin the new Director of Procurement in the firm’s Connecticut office. In his new position, Culkin will be responsible for the company’s design-build work. He has been a part of the KBE team for 15 years and in the construction industry for 26 years. Culkin holds a BS in Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and was previously a project executive, overseeing multiple projects and their associated teams.
Centria hired Tom White to the firm’s Architectural Systems team as design and development leader. White comes to Centria with experience in engineering, marketing and business development and will manage technical services, as well as serve in the research and development sectors. Most recently, White served as the corporate director for Business Development at the architectural firm Burt Hill, where he developed and implemented strategic marketing plans for the company.

Jennifer Jordan, IIDA, Fox Architects’ Interiors Director in the Washington, D.C .office, was recently promoted to associate. She is a 15-year design industry veteran and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Jordan has been with Fox for eight years. During this time, she has led her design teams on projects including Pepperdine University, Community College of the District of Columbia, CQ Roll Call, and the Department of Homeland Security.
After a long and distinguished career in academia, government and the law, David J. MacKenzie has decided to retire from his leadership role in one of the most robust building booms in the history of the University of Massachusetts.
