BANNING, Calif.鈥General contractor Erickson-Hall has broken ground on the renovation of Florida Street Discovery Center. The project entails a remodel of the existing preschool and building a new transitional kindergarten facility for the Banning Unified School District school, located approximately 20 miles from Palm Springs.听听
The new 25,000-square-foot facility is being constructed on a lot located directly adjacent to the current Florida Street Discovery Center campus. The two educational facilities will eventually connect together via a covered walkway.听听
Among the contractor鈥檚 work will be creating four new classrooms as well as two additional special needs classrooms. Erickson-Hall will also be updating the school鈥檚 cafeteria, administration space and kitchen.听听

Erickson-Hall is expected to complete its work by next August.听听
